Our Carpentry Services in Kennewick

All your work handled by qualified professionals in Kennewick

Wood Rot & Dry Rot Repair

Here rot starts where the sprinklers hit, not where the rain falls. We fix both the wood and the spray.

Included in your service

  • Siding bottoms, sills and trim probed where irrigation soaks them every summer
  • Decayed boards cut back to sound wood, never filled and painted over
  • Rebuilt in primed rot-resistant stock with a gap above the soil line
  • Sprinkler heads and spray patterns flagged so the new wood stays dry

Termite Damage Repair

In the Tri-Cities it is usually carpenter ants. Your pest company treats; we rebuild what they hollowed.

Included in your service

  • Galleried studs, sills and rim joists opened up and traced to their end
  • Hollowed members replaced or sistered with fresh framing lumber
  • Damp wood at grade dried out or cut away, since that is what draws ants
  • Treatment stays with your pest control company; we handle the carpentry
Learn more→

Floor Joist & Subfloor Repair

Silty Tri-Cities soil settles when it gets irrigated. Floors above it sag, bounce and slope.

Included in your service

  • Crawl space walked joist by joist with the settled pier pads marked
  • Tired joists sistered and set on fresh pier pads where the soil gave way
  • Soft subfloor under baths and laundry rooms cut out and replaced
  • A plain answer on what is old settling and what keeps moving
Learn more→

Beam Replacement & Load-Bearing Wall Removal

Opening up a 1960s ranch or split-level floor plan, with the load carried the whole way down.

Included in your service

  • Temporary shoring set before any bearing wall comes out
  • Engineered beam and posts sized from the drawings for your span
  • Point loads carried to footings that can take them on settled soil
  • We tell you up front when the job needs an engineer's stamp first
Learn more→

Framing & Structural Carpentry

Garages, shops and additions framed to stand up to Columbia Basin wind and hard freezes.

Included in your service

  • Walls, headers and blocking laid out for the span and the finish to come
  • Hold-downs and straps placed where gusty wind loads the structure
  • Garage, shop and basement build-outs framed square on new slabs
  • Fire or water damaged framing cut back and rebuilt to straight lines
Learn more→

Finish & Trim Carpentry

Casing and paneling fitted to Kennewick houses that settled a little over the years.

Included in your service

  • Casing, paneling and wainscoting scribed to walls that are no longer plumb
  • Coped inside corners that stay closed through dry summers and cold winters
  • Plain postwar and ranch profiles matched when only a section is replaced
  • Plinth blocks and reveals used to hide a floor that has dropped
Learn more→

Crown Molding & Baseboard Installation

Crown and base cut for the ceiling you really have, with joints built for very dry air.

Included in your service

  • Two-piece crown used where ceilings in older rooms are out of level
  • Glued and splined joints that hold through low humidity and heat
  • Baseboard and window trim run to a clean line on settled floors
  • Filled, sanded and caulked so the trim is ready for paint
Learn more→

Custom Built-Ins & Shelving

Shelving, window seats and storage built into the rooms Tri-Cities families actually live in.

Included in your service

  • Built-in bookcases, window seats, mudroom benches and media walls
  • Designed around bay windows, stairwells and split-level landings
  • Scribed to the wall so nothing reads as a piece of store furniture
  • Doors, drawers and face frames aligned and adjusted before we leave
Learn more→

Interior Door Installation & Repair

When soil settles the frame twists. We fix the opening so the door closes on its own.

Included in your service

  • Jamb, hinges and reveal checked before any door is replaced
  • Hinge mortises recut and doors rehung true in a settled frame
  • Doors planed and trimmed to an even gap all the way round
  • Pocket, bifold and barn door hardware installed and tuned
Learn more→

Included in your service

  • Rough opening flashed and sill pan set before the unit goes in
  • Frame shimmed plumb so the weatherstrip seals along the whole edge
  • Thresholds and jambs rebuilt where sprinkler spray rotted the base
  • Sun-facing doors finished and sealed to slow UV cracking and fading
Learn more→

Cabinet & Vanity Installation

Cabinets hung to a true level line, even when the old ceiling or floor is not level.

Included in your service

  • Floors and walls checked and a true reference line struck first
  • Boxes shimmed, scribed and fastened into solid framing
  • Filler strips scribed so gaps against sloping walls disappear
  • Doors, drawers and hardware aligned and adjusted at the end
Learn more→

  • Split-level stair flights re-wedged so treads stop moving and squeaking
